or you poll specifically about the gorilla, or you ask people to name their top five or rate each issue on a scale of 1-10. This is why I call it a silly poll, it served no purpose. That's not actually true, off year polls exist to calibrate technique and keep the firm's name recognition up, but the results serve no purpose for mass public disclosure. Because they will not offer average Joe an accurate view of American priorities beyond the trivial interpretation "It is the economy stupid" or an inaccurate one.
