i'm not blind to the fact that both sides have used the filibuster to make political points. what has changed is that 60 votes is now the majority threshhold for all senate business with very few exceptions. it's an abuse of the filibuster, and it is unprecedented, and it is solely the domain of republicans to abuse it so far.
