I would imagine that "we" do work with many people who don't feel as though they are properly matched with their body. If it's about helping them feel safe, happy, healthy, comfortable (whatever!), and the "treatment" that works best is allowing them to choose the body that best suits them, who are the rest of us to say "no, you can't have that because you're "wrong"? I'm sure there are many in therapy who make the other choice as well.

First: We aren't telling them are wrong. Reality is.
Second: To help the anorexic, should we remove the temptation of food?
Should we provide "treatment" to the anorexic by reinforcing their beliefs? By saying "yeah...just a little big more weight loss, would get you there." After all...who are we to stand in the way of choosing "the body that best suits them."
