Sometimes, I think they just lead to the same outcome along a different path. And sometimes, a small shift might have made an enormous difference in the shape of things after. We'll never know. Fun to think about and postulate different theories about.

Regarding this one, I can think of many different outcomes. As you and I discussed in person, husband mine, I'm not sure the future shown in this article would have turned out as rosy as the author suggests. A return to antebellum status Europe would have returned to many of the problems they already had and it isn't as though the horrors of the Great War kept them from fighting WWII.
