Employer still doesn't offer health insurance and with my pre-existings, I probably can't afford the high premiums. Sure, the cobbled-together thing from the Senate is not great (far from it), but I guess for me, there's always Mexico if I need something cheap for my lungs and liver, no? ;)

Only 25 years to go, according to my last actuarian table! Gawd bless me now truly being the working poor! When either party ever accidentally manages to do something good, I could die happy then...of a heart attack?

How's that for being bitter at all sides involved? Such a fucking shame that neither side can compromise on a single damn thing anymore. Listening to the political rhetoric these days is akin to listening to Bloods and Crips. Just brands, colors, and nothing in-between. Wake me up when the Disunited States stops being the true reality. Then I might stop casting wistful glances at the SWP. ;)
