Yes, we are required to have a car top sign on and lit. Its a nice little thing that says "look here, guy with cash"

Yeah, that's what it seems like to me. Honestly, it's not even good advertising. I think it probably the company more hassles than good.
As for not tipping because the store charges a delivery fee... the drivers do not see any of that. according to the training film at work, the delivery fee is to cover insurance for the store to have drivers on the road. I only see a dollar out of that 2.50 that my store charges.

Wow, that blows. They should make that clear and charge only the 1.50. Then I'll tip over that. The way things are, I don't have time to figure out how much of a cut of the service fee the driver gets for any particular company.
