You shouldn't put 18 year olds in prison for life for sleeping with 16 year olds but if a thirty year old rapes an eight year old I have no problem if he never sees day light again.

I don't believe in fifteenth chances though. A lot of places, btw, an 18 year old doing a 16 year old isn't rape, statutory or otherwise (assuming both consent. ) In TX I BELIEVE (don't quote me at your trial :P) the law is that if you're within four years of the same age it's legal (which conveniently means that if you're >21 anyone <18 is off limits, but from 18-21 it would depend on their age even if they are legal minors. ) Again, that is NOT legal advice, just my understanding of how a law I've never had cause to check reads.
