and then there's loss of explicitly stated constitutional rights. Not to mention all the other little things you lose, like privacy, stability and the ability to live your own life without the government dragging you in and out and around it.

If it's someone's choice to walk into that...okay well that's their choice. If they go into that willingly that's also their right...

But I've seen the bullshit fed by recruiters. We've got multiple guys in our class applying for the veterinary corps program. They have recruiters telling them contradictory information, that doesn't match up with outside sources, and guys already accepted into the program telling them "you get everything written down, everything signed, if not, you won't get what they're telling you." Essentially, the recruiters are feeding them bullshit (or at least inaccurate information, whether or not the recruiter knows it) in order to get them to join (and sacrifice so many rights and freedoms).

And they're doing this to guys who came to them. Who aren't even going into combat positions.

If the military is going to strip the freedoms of their soldiers down, they need to do it ethically and without deceit. And they need to let their soldiers go when they are through.
