I agree whole heartedly that his life and the principles he stood for should be commemorated by the United States.

I am the descendant of a woman who was robbed of her property and forced in the winter to leave her home and walk across a frozen river out of the United States purely on the basis of her religion. Even in the United States the freedom of religion has not always been upheld for everyone. Constant vigilance is needed.

A little learning is a dangerous thing.
