Combine that with the opening sequence with the Red we later discover is Liandrin (?) gentling/killing the crazy male channeler. She says as she gentles/kills him, "It's only for women. Your touch fouls it." Umm, you don't touch the same thing dear, so how would you know what his touch does?


It is possible that the arrogance was about them doing it by themselves, rather than men and women working together, though the relationship between both sides had broken down at that point and Latra Decume's plan looked to not be achievable anymore with the Choeden Kal keys lost, but still didn't support LTT's plan - so not sure what the end goal was at that point really.
