Well with that attitude, of course nothing will change. Which is also why I'm not stupid enough to think that. But I have no idea why you think this is about Americans owning guns.
To force Americans to do otherwise is un-American, and any attempt by the gov't to do so would immediately cede its rights as representatives of the People.

Even if it is the people who ask for it and vote accordingly? That's a bizarre statement coming from someone who thinks so highly of the Constitution.

People who use tragedies to try and take away peoples rights are as close to actually evil as I accept exists in this world.
