I can agree with that, and you're right in that WIFOM can make you blind to other options. So, I'll just say that, barring random chance (which is of course possible), Napoleon's most obvious reason for being lynched is his suspicion of you. It's the only thing (that I can see right now) that could have set him apart. And while it's NOT an accusation of you, Issac, it's reasonable to at least mention it.

However, it doesn't really seem to get us anywhere, so I'll put it aside for now


I would tend to assume you raised it because people usually look less suspicious, or believe they do, when they raise an accusation against themselves as opposed to someone else doing it. Even if you're town, that's a pretty logical thing to do. One of the first rules of debate is to blunt an argument by raising it yourself first, and I doubt you do not know this.


See, I think you're falling into your own WIFOM trap here. In this case, you're assuming that my subject line about my "heroic failure" was part of a strategy, whether pro or anti-town. In reality, it was just a joke with some fascetious (god, I hate spelling that word...) humor in it that I made at 1am.



Raising it was an accusation, like I said, this is a subtle game and we all know that trick, doesn't mean you necessarily were using it, or that you had nefarious anti-town motives if you were, but both read as accusations to me, and I doubt many will disagree.

Although I will say that your WIFOM point is well taken- a 50/50 chance IS usually better than a random lynch. It didn't apply to FT (in my opinion) because I was pegging him at maybe 5% chance at best of being a DF, but it does apply to you

Well, yes- after you jumped on my post, I became a bit more suspicious of you.



No, I was the driving force behind pointing out the various flaws and advantages of the situation, the lynch proceeded from that. I repeat, FT was doing everything in his power to make it look like I was nailing him to a cross, up to and including pushing back on my points so I had to defend and clarify them in depth, which made it look like I was on a major offensive. Trust me, he knew what he was doing, an accusation is only as credible as the person prosecuting it, he wanted it to be attached to me, fresh from a game as a DF. Not hard either, as he knows I will present lengthy arguments for and against pretty much everything. Townie or not, that was his motive.



Well, someone who discussed the situation, pointed out the various flaws and advantages of the lynch, and came up on "lynch," is pretty much the definition of a supporter. And on a message board, where words and posts are pretty much all you have, "lengthy arguments" make you seem like a Major Supporter.

I'm not saying it was all a nefarious plot by you- obviously other people voted, and posted. I'm just saying that you probably posted the most words by far on the issue, and 95% of them were pro-lynching FT. Even if it's just by default, that pretty much leaves you as a Major Supporter.

Still, it was only a Day One lynch. That's why I'm trying not to turn it into an accusation- no matter how many words you wrote, you were still working off the same dearth of information as the rest of us.


tl;dr

I make jokes when I'm sleepy.

Napoleon's death may or may not have been influence by his stance on Issac, but since there's no way to tell, it doesn't matter.

Issac was a driving force behind F-T's lynch, even if he didn't intend to be. This doesn't mean he's anti-town.
