The writer of TMQ is a man named Gregg Easterbrook. Mr. Easterbrook is a senior editor of the magazine, The New Republic. Writing Tuesday Morning Quarterback is something he does as a sideline. The New Republic, in case you don't know, is a liberal magazine, which supports universal health care, same-sex marriage and environmental issues. He was also a fellow at the Brookings Institute, one of the country's most prominent think tanks. Brookings is considered to be a center to left of center think tank. Their current president served as Deputy Secretary of State under President Clinton.

The information that he works for The New Republic and used to work for Brookings are in the bio blurb of the TMQ column. The details about them are two seconds away on Google.

But why let facts get in the way of a good rant?
