...a different outcome of the fight between Gawyn and Rand?

I very much liked the first half of your theory. I can see Gawyn trying to kill Rand. What you added in the second half was a way for him to succeed. I thought that part of the theory was nice and well argumented (as best as was possible, I reckon), but it breaks apart at Alivia, I think. Others have said enough about it already and I´ve read your replies Terez, but I still think what you propose isn´t Aliva helping Rand die...

So how about we keep the first half of your theory, but change the outcome? What if Gawyn tries to kill Rand (for all the reasons and quotes you posted), but fails to do so and dies?
What if Rand ends up killing Gawyn?

I say this, because IF Egwene bonds Gawyn (very likely IMO) and Rand kills her Warder, then the foretelling that "Rand al'Thor will face the Amyrlin Seat and know her anger" gets a whole new meaning...
if you catch my (warder/death/rage) drift...
