I just like how some people in this thread have used the fact that Lanfear ALMOST shielded Rand as proof that she clearly could shield him. That is an impressive example of using evidence to prove your pre-concieved idea, rather than the other way around.


The chapter is from Rand's own PoV. He admits that if he missed her weave it would have cut him off. The debate isn't whether Lanfear can overwhelm Rand's skill, it's whether she has the power to cut him off from the True Source. According to Rand, she does.
