I disagree with your conclusion. There is forshadowing in the series, a good bit of it (i.e. Eggy and Nyn's experiences in the Accepted test; Amerlyn without the oaths, Married to Lan). It is that there is just as much, if not more, misdirection utalized as well. Jordan, and by extension Sanderson, simply intentionally try to mislead the reader regarding the meanings of the various prophacies. I sometimes think that Red Herring is THE major character in the series. I especially like the way the "Blind Begger" was finally resolved.
I could be wrong, but I do not believe we have seen a single actual blind person in the entire series, but we all kept waiting for Rand to loose his sight. We were baited in from the very first book about it (Matt and his light sensitivity). Instead Rand lost sight of what is important and was, for a time, metaphorically blind.
Anyone want to change their guesses about Mat "placing his eye on a scale"?

I don't know if Semirhage was sacrificed or not. Either way the Semirhage quote set up tGS 6 books

I'd say that there was a pre-meditated plan or backup plan to sacrifice Semirhage

Moridin and SH knew that the CK could never defeat the dark one so they were happy to leave it

It could be, but I would still think they would have noticed the CK sitting next to the male a'dam
