However, if Rand uses the TP and is tainted, it also makes sense to remove the Chodean Kal, because without that much potential OP strength it would be even harder for Rand to resist using the TP again and become completely addicted.


I agree, and it's one reason why it's very improbable that what happened to Semirhage was anything premeditated (betrayal or not).
