I don't believe in foreshadowing that you can figure out from the actual plot. RugbyPlayingAshaman Send a noteboard - 27/07/2010 08:42:11 PM
However, I'm a firm believer that RJ is following a set formula, and by analyzing the story structure as a whole, you can predict who and what will happen in certain places.

For example, I never cared who the Black Ajah people were in Elayne's story because I was pretty sure Vandene would die and that the Black Ajah person would be revealed shortly afterwards. I didn't predict how that would happen, but it was not shocking at all when we figured out who the person was and I laughed out loud when I saw how quickly RJ dispensed with that minor character plot with a beltknife attack.
