Did you ever read the Ender series of books?

The Ender series of books, such as Speaker of the Dead, featured the Piggies which had a very complicated form of reproduction that involved trees as the intermediate or the 2nd life after the Piggy form. These trees were essential for reproducing new generations of Piggies. Orson Scott Card did a really good job depicting this sci-fi breed of biology into his series.
I'm not saying RJ will mimic Card, but after reading the Card books I have realized that there is a ton of different ways that biological life cycles can be depicted in fantasy.
I am not sure what is and what is not possible in the Wheel of Time series, but I have always thought that we might see the tree of the Green Man again before the Last Battle-- especially since the tree is a waypoint on the way to Shayol Ghul. I've always thought that a Green Man may bud the same way that a plant does due to its plant origins. It should be interesting to see what happens.
I don't know if the Green Man will live again, but I will place a bet that we will at least see his tree before the end of the series.
