So who amongst Rand's "heart" is she going to wack?
Min? Caddy? Bashere? Someone else? Bunches and bunches of lesser known? Or is she going to Turn someone? Remember Min's viewing of "something dark" around Bashere?
After reading a few posts, I've seen Min's name bandied about a lot for this. And yes it would certainly devistate Rand. But I think not. Two reasons
1) The death of a Warder's AS drives him insane. Rand is way more than 1/2 way there already. Min's death would more than devistate him, it would destroy him. I'm pretty he'd crack and shatter under the strain.
2)Prophecy: Specifically Nicola's prophecy of "Three in a Boat" Min is certainly "the one who sees beyond", and I don't think she can die until that particular prophecy is fulfilled, and the way it is worded makes it pretty clear that it hasn't happened yet. I guess you could say that her Elayne and Aviendha all being bonded to Rand means they are all "in the same boat" but I think that's a bit vague even for prophecy.
OK so not Min. Who else? Caddy? Possible, but she still hasn't taught Rand and the Ashaman "something you need to learn" (which btw is NOT "laughter and tears" ) So I'm going to rule out Caddy.
Bashere? Certaily a very possible canidate, but not big enough on his own I think.
Bunches and bunches of lesser known? Sounds good to me especially when you add a few 'biggies' like Bashere.
Someone else? Bingo! How about Alanna? Hers is no longer Rand's primary bond. If she gets wacked it will certainly cause Rand great despair but I don't think will send him catatonic. In addition she is a woman and we could see from chapt 1 how fixated he has become on that particular bit of insanity. It's a long shot I know, but somehow it feels right to me.

The prologue gives us strong evidence that Graendal is weaker than Demi or Semi
