Pretty much everyone has theorized up to now that Demandred - being the last remaining Forsaken general - and apparently the only military general in the world to equal Lews Therin's strategic ability during the Age of Legends - was logically massing Trolloc and Dreadlord Forces in the Blight, in prepration for the Big Invasion.
We know Moridin is not a military leader, and is more the spiritual and philosophical leader of the Shadow. Does anyone else find it strange that he is now leading the military build up while the Great Mystery around Demandred's secret activities is revealed as no more than him wasting away in some backwater Kingdom, gathering a relatively small army of Murandians armed with pitchforks and rusted swords?
Sammael's Illian army was more powerful, Be'lal's Tairan army was more powerful and Ravhin's Andoran army was VASTLY more powerful.
What is the greatest general of the Shadow doing, spending all his time on a tiny kingdom that can probably field an army no greater than half a single Aiel tribe?
While Mad Moridin, the philosopher, is leading the Army of Shadow in the North?
It just doesn't make strategic sense.

First of all there's the centrality of the location. Demandred can threaten Andor, Illian, Altara and Far Madding from there.
Secondly I'm sure Demandred has access to resources to arm his men well.
Thirdly, using modern management techniques one can raise a large army even from a preindustrial society, see Napoleon.
Fourthly Murandy is likely as thickly settled as eastern Andor, so if Ituralde can raise 350k in Arad Doman, Demandred can at least raise 150k there even taken into account the men Egwene and Talmanes recruited.
When the Wolf King carries the hammer, thus are the final days known. When the fox marries the raven, and the trumpets of battle are blown.

The prologue gives us strong evidence that Graendal is weaker than Demi or Semi
