It's the entire point of Shadar Logoth and Padan Fain. It's also the reason why Dark Rand was wrong, despite the fact that people on this board were advocating things like "the risk of annihilating the entire universe is a price you just have to pay if you want to destroy one of Shai'tan's pawns", or "Rand is the saviour of the world, and everyone who refuses to serve him deserves to be destroyed". This isn't "the Shadow screwing itself", it's fighting pure evil with pure evil. And I'm not sure what to say if you think that this series will conclude with pure evil granting victory over Shai'tan.
You're putting spin on it merely to drive your point home. You might as well say that its antithematic because Graendal uses saidar. The True Power is a tool. Instead of saying 'Rand uses pure evil to destroy pure evil' it could be that the Dark One shoots himself in the foot by granting Rand access to it. I would be impressed to see how Rand can do anything to assault the DO without taining the Power again. A well is the only decent alternative I've read about in this thread.
Yes, because he started using the True Power.
So Ishamael used the True Power so muchn that his eyes became flaming caverns and yet when it comes to combat he has to directly ask for permission to use it? And what was the giant black ball forming in each hand ... we've never seen that before.
I know that's what you're asserting, but do you have anything to support that claim?
I don't. The scene has never been explained by RJ and it remains shrouded in mystery. It's a unique event and open to various theories.

Honestly, I'm more curious about the "Dragon-only" barrier that surrounded it

Using the True Power to win Tarmon Gai'don goes against every moral in the series.

Fain has become so much more than human. We have no real sense of the limits of his power
