And then added a - "I'm pretty sure I'm right," at the end.
In hindsight, it might have been nothing more than him never paying much attention to Semirhage, as Lanfear was a far more compelling female Forsaken, and since Nynaeve is a female heroine of great strength, he just naturally assumed that she must be stronger than Semirhage. Particularly as there are only 6 females stronger than Nynaeve.
I would now not be surprised at all if Sanderson was in fact wrong on that, and Semirhage turns out to be one of the 6 above Nynaeve.
The point is, we just can't know anymore.
Hopefully the Encyclopedia will eventually settle these issue, once published.
