I responded to what you said quite clearly. I think that Egwene is taking longer to make that weave because it requires a great deal of saidar which she can't produce in an instant, and she needs to build it up. Nynaeve is stronger and has that saidar available immediately. Well that's how I see it anyway.

But if a given amount of the OP is available to you, it is available to you in an instant. There has been not even a hint of weaker sisters taking longer to make a weave of a given strength than stronger ones. Stronger sisters can make more of the same, yes, but when it comes to making one, there is no difference.

Rand for instance uses Callandor to make the shadowspawn killer. He needs to put more and more saidin into it until it is ready. At any given time he doesn't have enough One Power in him to create the weave, and thus it takes longer.
Same with a blossom of fire.

I think Egwene is the same with the stilling weave.

Nynaeve does. Egwene did it solo in tDR. Rand did 3 at once in LoC, but men don't seem to know how - 03/10/2009 07:16:03 PM 1369 Views

I think Egwene took longer because it was the first time. *NM* - 04/10/2009 07:20:26 PM 462 Views
