Re: Female Forsaken strength : a new post -- What about Dexterity?? Tedtheman Send a noteboard - 19/11/2009 06:44:31 PM
I decided to make a new post because there are over a hundred views in the previous post and it's getting crowded. Thanks to Shannow and all the debating there - I loved all the bickering.

I love how the post had DEFINITIVE in all caps, but it's full of hemming and hawing and maybes and arguing.

Let me start off by saying that Brandon seems like a nice guy, but he shoots from the hip. He's answering things incorrectly and causing all manner of scandals. If we didn't know better about Cyndane, we'd all be in a fuss, but he's making major errors in his answers. I also find it very unlikely that the guy knows the strength tree to any reasonable degree. I'm sure he knows some landmarks, but his own words show that he's 'reasonably' this 'pretty sure' that. It's all very vague and unreliable information. It would actually be better to get a RAFO than to get wrong information based on guessing.

He may have access to things we do not, but when he is unable to look at that information, he's a lot like the rest of us. A fan who is fallible and prone to error when trying to explain minutiae from memory. I have a theory about his "little detail from books 4-6" that addresses this in part as well.

As for the OP rankings, I'm not sold on anybody's list so far.

I agree, because mostly it seems that the list has changed as the series went on, sometimes as the wind blows. Nynaeve went from "Holy crap" to "LOL so last year" back to "OMG didn't you know shes badass?".

I don't ever remember reading about the two Nynaeve strength lists (before\after or whatever) as a comment from RJ on wotmania, but I think that illustrates how other relative strengths may have changed.

I'm still harping on it but I hate that the whole Dexterity side seems to have gone by the wayside.
