Think of the TG coming.
First, Murandy will need to be part of the united "westlands". Either under Rand, Seancha, or as independent ally. If a Forsaken has great influence there, that can put a big stick in Rand's wheels. It is a hindrance to prophecy.
Now TG is here, and say Murandy is just left alone.
Rand orders his armies to go to the borderland, (including the armies of Illian and Andor). Then Murandy marches it's armies under the orders of a Forsaken and start to attack Andor and Illian. That is going to be a huge problem behind the "front lines." Specially if they start to disrupt the source of food and supplies that would support the armies in the borderlands.
Just saying.
