Compared to the Shadowspawn in the Blight, the Asha'man in the Black Tower, the Aiel or the Seanchan, who cares about Murandy?
Bryne said that Murandy has considerable numbers of men. People like Rand and Elayne don't seem to think that Murandy is insignificant.
And if Demandred has additionally many or most of those Dragonsworn bands under his control, which are all over the west of the Westlands, he could provoke even more chaos to support the Shadowspawn armies plus Taim & cronies and other DF.
