BS was only 85 % certain that the strength is only related to the body, but he might think that there is a 15 % chance that in some case also the soul is a factor (e.g. the Dragon Soul). In any case, he seems certain that the body is always a factor, which would fit with the Lanfear & Cyndane-phenomenon.


That's not how I interpret that quote you provided, but you got me thinking ... I believe the quote you provided was BS talking about souls being reborn the "normal" way. So maybe BS is 100% certain that the strength of transmigrated souls can be affected by the body into which they are transmigrated (because that's what happened to Cyndane), but is only 85% certain that the same is true of souls born the "normal" way.

I think that interpretation would fit his comment.


We'd have heard by now if she was weaker in her new body than in her old one. But who knows ... anything is possible at this point :)
