Graendal with a force of light. How does he (or us for that matter) not know that he hasn't been outsmarted yet again? Something that the Forsaken have been able to do time and time again...

So a subtle form of Compulsion was no longer evidenced after the Balefire. So what. Who's to say it was Graendal? Who's to say that the weave itself didn't undo itself?

Do I think that Graendal is dead? Yes. Why? Because its the end of the series. If not for that, do I think that she is dead? Not sure...but I wouldn't bank on it. If any of the forsken could out think Rand, it would be her.
