No. I keep three tabs open, and I enter things as I think of them.

I am not sure another course of action would have been better, though. We know this one did not turn out well, but there were significant dangers in the others open to him as well. I suppose the best thing would have been to tell Harry why he couldn't tell Harry.... But you can bet Harry would have been annoying about that, too.

No doubt, but it would've been better than this. And I still don't see the harm in allowing Ron and Hermione to tell Harry the very little they knew, while he was with the Dursleys.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with the connection to her brothers. I am not sure whether my impression of them comes from something said in the books or is wholly a matter of Shoebox Project influence, but I think of them as marauder-like, similar to Fred and George. If so, it must terrify her to see recklessness anywhere near her children. That must be why she has always been so happy with Percy's rule-orientedness. And it must be made much worse by Voldemort being back.

I don't think the books say much more than that they went out fighting "like lions" and died together. But I could be wrong. Still, it seems logical that they'd be somewhat similar.


Ah. I sometimes find it hard to keep canon from non-canon when it comes to earlier generations in Harry Potter.

Does he know? That Voldemort killed him? Don't the trio tell him that later on? Hmmm. I am unsure now.

Perhaps not, but Voldemort left him to die there and Regulus came to save him, so he should feel some resentment at the very least...
