consisted of several essays by historians attempting to collect information on the prominent women involved. trying to find the women in history is difficult, as they were not given much place in the mainstream texts, and are mostly found in the background of letters and stories that are on the sidelines. the historians had to dig for the information in order to attempt to compile a cohesive narrative.

i also read her historical fiction, which was nice and fictiony, haha.
