Like I said, for me, there was no eroticism in those scenes whatsoever.

Perhaps the eroticism in those scenes for other readers stems from something psychological (and no I am not making any sorts of judgements about peoples psychological status). Read the links below...

Twain's use of "nigger" was mordant and satirical. Martin's use of rape verges on erotic at times, and that is what so many people have a problem with--not that there is rape, but that it's treated as entertainment more than it is a horrific physical and psychological assault.
