Sigh... we know no such thing, and even if we did, it would be those biased liberals telling us.

Sorry but the most likely reason why our schools have become liberal bastions (because they used to be much more balanced) is liberal have little tolerance for non-liberal view points. In fact they have been spending most of the last week trying to use an unrelated tragedy as an excuse to silence those who disagree with them. We no the concern about tone is a lie or they would have spent less time doing slandering anyone on the right they could sling mud at.
I will ask you again and I ignore your response if you ignore the question again. Would you trust them if the ratios were reversed? While are at would you trust the media if it was a heavily weighted towards conservatives as it is towards liberals?
I will ask you again and I ignore your response if you ignore the question again. Would you trust them if the ratios were reversed? While are at would you trust the media if it was a heavily weighted towards conservatives as it is towards liberals?
I answered the question, and it's not my fault if you missed that along with everything else I said:
As long as the people in any field are chosen by merit demonstrated by their credentials, yes, I trust their statements about their field, regardless of whether they're mostly conservative, liberal or Martian.
Is that clear enough for you, or are you going to yet again insist that I didn't answer a question despite my explicitly doing just that?
As far as intolerant suppression of opposing view points, it isn't liberals who need at least one paranoid draconian red scare every generation. It wasn't liberals who, a early as 1798, made it a federal crime to criticize any government official, expelled US Senators from Congress for the crime of not being Republican in the 1860s, made it illegal to be a communist in the '50s of held protesters in "free speech areas" well away from media and the events protested under Bush. Actually, the closest liberals have come to anything like that since the Reign or Terror (when liberal extremism did run violently amok) is Europes widespread laws against Nazis and racism, but since the American right has suddenly decided in the last decade or so and in defiance of nearly a century of history that Hitler was a liberal, I suppose that shouldn't count.

Now, if we can return from the little xenophobic tangent, the fact remains that either disproportionate amounts of success by one group in one area indicates bias (in which case men outperform women in math no more than liberals outperform conservatives in academia) or it indicates that one group genuinely excels the other in that area (in which case academias claims that math evaluations are biased against women is accurate and there are more liberal academics because knowledge really does encourage liberalism).
If numbers prove bias rather than ability, that's all they do for men vs. women in math; if they don't, then it doesn't matter how many of the academics claiming bias in fe/male math evaluations are coincidentally liberals. Either way, the evaluations are probably biased to some degree.
