I think that if I really wanted my person to go to something with me, I would make it known. Then if he still didn't want to and I didn't say anything else about it, I would probably be pissed while also admitting that he gets to make those choices. So it depends how she feels about this.

I can't imagine that it would be a good thing for a relationship to ask someone to go somewhere with you and continually be turned down, so it also depends how often it happens. My bro and wife are divorced now because of a similar thing. One too many refusals to do something, and he thought they were fine. They were not - she just never said so until it was too late.
