I can see what you are saying. It is the commitment to spend your lives together and not the certificat that make the difference. May relationship was a little rocky at first and I think we needed that open commitment. My son is getting ready to propose to his girlfriend in a few months but they have decided a long time ago that they were going to spend the rest of their life together so they will likely see things more similar to way the way you do.
