I also find the idea of a far-left winger suddenly wanting to get a gun for self-defense to be utterly rich, but that's another discussion.


You might have just picked up on the exact point at the heart of this whole thing - the right aren't all identical and neither are the left but in fact both encompass a broad range of views and it is at best silly and at worst just flat out dishonest to pretend this guy wasn't right wing just because he doesn't fit with how the mainstream american right views itself.

Now if I was like our resident right wing trolls, I guess I should kick up an almighty fuss that you dared to label Joel as left wing when his views are clearly different than mine on various issues. That would be stupid and dishonest though;)
