And I was never disputing that the guy was right-wing. From what I know about him, he certainly seems to be. I didn't get involved in this discussion until Joel actually started blaming these attacks on right-wingers and their ideology as a whole and saying it will lead to more terrible attacks like this one.

He's doing EXACTLY what every person on the right fears people are going to do...blame this on the shooter's ideaology and claim that those who share it are equally dangerous. That's extremely offensive, and makes them fearful, because it gives some people on the left another excuse to try and silence them

If the shooter had turned out to be left wing, and people here were saying things like what Joel was saying above, I would expect you and the other liberals here to object, and rightly so. Therefore, I'm not sure why you guys can't understand our own objections, and refuse to see the points that people like Random Thoughts are trying to articulate. Instead, I keep seeing in response "Well, he WAS right wing, you know..."
