Homosexuality is not chosen, it just is or is not.
Homosexuality is not chosen, it just is or is not.
Medical evidence either way remains inconclusive. It probably comes down to the old nature vs. nurture debate, and is not SOLELY chosen NOR predetermined.
Polygamy is a choice, 100%. No one wakes up as they are coming into themselves in their teens and thinks "OMG I'm a polygamist!!"
Most teens wake up (daily) thinking, OMG, I want to have sex with many people! I dare say they far outnumber those who wake up thinking, OMG, I want to have sex with my own gender!
What each chooses to DO about their thoughts and desires is another matter. Many strongly reject marriage on any basis. However, many others actively seek a marriage consistent with their desires and beliefs. The Equal Protection Clause requires the law recognize all such choices between consenting adults, or none.
