Employer still doesn't offer health insurance and with my pre-existings, I probably can't afford the high premiums. Sure, the cobbled-together thing from the Senate is not great (far from it), but I guess for me, there's always Mexico if I need something cheap for my lungs and liver, no?
You could probably get some good treatment in Mexico; I've heard they have some sweet potions with gold dust and mercury.
Seriously though, sorry to hear about your problems. I have been at the mercy of my doctor discounting office visits and giving me samples for the last year.

Same here. Add to that I'm facing possible problems with workman's comp after being injured a week ago last Tuesday breaking up a fight. I can type, but something feels wrong with my right wrist tendons, not to mention there's still a possibility of a hairline fracture somewhere in the region. Need more painkillers; ran out tonight

Needless to say, this led to me cursing much more than usual

Ugh! Smirnoff my friend. It's the best cheap vodka, drinkable and fairly cheap as far as liquors go.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
