More then anything this vote a referendum on the healthcare bill and it lost by 5 points in one of the most liberal states in the country. There was a time when they may have been able to get away wit most slight of hand or rule change to get around the filibuster but after last night doing so will be a blatant attempt to supersede the will of the voters.
