True, but that's hardly a regular occurrence. And it's a better approach, IMHO, to economic stimulus and recovery than writing off the depreciation of a yacht, since it actually encourages people to make large (but affordable) purchases. Tax credits like that have no impact on the ability to qualify for a loan, but they do make the payments much easier.
