Everyone makes errors, particularly when typing fast or not bothering to read messages after the fact (or not having the time). However, when writing is so consistently incoherent and spelling errors are so numerous, it is a reflection of the intellectual capabilities (or lack thereof) of the individual generally.
As for my assessment of his writing ability as being at the fourth grade level, I concede that actually it's probably at a second grade level or worse - my 8-year-old already writes better. And yes, form is important. If form isn't important then I understand much better how people get to college and are capable of nothing but poorly reasoned political action to mask their stupidity and ignorance.
Grammar and spelling are tools of oppression, right?
