I have to say, though, it's really touching how much effort you're putting into trying to educate him in spite of that, despite him being such a horrible person who doesn't have the common decency to kindly excuse himself from any further discussion, because clearly he just doesn't have any respect for people with actual problems. Anyone can see that only you, with your profound understanding and empathy for the people in question, are showing such respect.
Obviously, a mentally ill patient taking medication to overcome their delusions, to be able to make it through the day, is 100% mathematically identical to a mentally ill person taking hormones indulge in their delusion, while permanently damaging their own bodies. Of course! How did I never understand this before?!?
Seriously, if anyone is self-deluded enough to believe that those are the same thing, then I fully stand behind my statement that they should excuse themselves from the conversation, as they clearly fail tograsp the realities of the situation.
