You're not even making sense. TyrReborn Send a noteboard - 15/09/2017 05:46:04 PM

My argument has not changed, at all, this entire thread. You should not treat a mental illness by conforming to a mistaken belief and physically damaging your body. That has been the exact statement I have been repeating endlessly, which is why I have been emoting that I've been beating my head against a wall. That argument is not hard to understand, and, if someone were to offer an argument against that point, I would happily debate with them.

So far, however, the only argument against it that I have heard is Ghavrel saying "but if they live out their delusions, they're happier!" And that's great, and people not committing suicide is a good thing, I will never disagree with that. However, they are still giving in to their delusion, and that sets a dangerous precedent with every mental health issue; these issues should be fixed, or, at worst, lived with. Having a patently false belief, such as thinking they are female when they are, in fact, genetically and physically male is absolutely a delusion, and I repeat(for like the 30th time this thread), the solution to delusion is not to give in to it and harm your body.

My statement that if someone can not see the difference between treating an issue and giving in to that issue, then they should excuse themselves from the conversation, is, again, a statement. That's not an argument, which is why I did not argue the point with Ghavrel further down the line, I attempted to clarify my actual argument.
