One of the explainer animated shorts is called Saidin, Saidar and Stone. The Aes Sedai theme playing around Liandrin also mentions saidin.

They're probably going to be revealed in show around Logain, or potentially when Loial explains the corruption of the Ways, both of which require new exposition.

I'm not a huge fan of the show as is, but let's not assume everything will be as crappy as it can possibly be, eh?
