Etzel thinks it is loony anyway (I think he is just attached to his own theory and therefore prejudiced). I was arguing with him about it at Dragonmount, but now Dragonmount won't load, so I figured I'd link it here.

I just came up with this a couple of days ago, so the version posted at Theoryland is sort of a draft version (I come up with a new idea on it every hour or two), so I will probably be tweaking some details in the future. I'm pretty certain about the gist of it, though: Gawyn will end up with Mat's medallion, which will enable him to kill Rand. Sounds random, but it's not. Really.
