I meant to mention that the clues pointing to Rand vs. Gawyn point to Rand actually dying. They don't say anything either way about Gawyn's death; I just assume that Gawyn will die via the Arthur/Mordred parallel, since they both wound each other fatally (Mordred dies pretty much on the spot, and Arthur dies a little later, except in the legends that say he never died).
Anyway, the 'as darkness fits the sun' is like the main piece of evidence that Gawyn will kill Rand. We know that the sun will go dark on 'the day his blood is shed'. We know that the Dragon is one with the land, so there's a good explanation for the sun going dark (Rand dies; Dragonmount blows). We know that the sun went dark at noon when Jesus was on the cross. We know that the Shienaran Welcome includes a phrase about guarding against 'the shadow at noon'. All of this together with Nicola's Foretelling makes it pretty clear that Rand will die.
But yes, I think Rand will also kill Gawyn. Since we know from Min's viewing that Egwene will die if she does not bond Gawyn, then it's probably safe to assume that Egwene will be suffering from Gawyn's death.
The dream that Egwene had about confronting Rand pretty much has to happen after he's resurrected, because the Seanchan woman is with her, and the truce won't happen until Rand dies (and Tuon also can't get Justice till Rand dies). So I figure that only a few people will be in the know about Rand being resurrected, and that Tuon will be one of them. We also know that at least one other woman will be with Egwene for the confrontation.
