Your rational all falls back on information we learn in WH. You know as well as I do that the logic jumps you make would be impossible without that POV

No, as I also often pointed out, I agree with RJ that it's possible to find all the clues in the first 5 books (and also the indirect additional clues in the books after TFoH) to deduce who the killer is, namely most likely Slayer. And if you manage this, it even becomes kind of obvious. But I think I repeat myself.

tFoH
To Caemlyn

"Do you know they are drawing Rand al'Thor to attack Sammael? But when he does, he will find the others as well, waiting to trap him between them. At least, he will find Graendal and Rahvin. I think Lanfear plays another game, one the others know nothing about."

Nynaeve exchanged worried glances with Birgitte. Rand must learn of this. He would, as soon as she and Elayne could speak to Egwene tonight. If they could manage to put their hands on the ter'angreal long enough.

"That is," Moghedien murmured, "if he lives long enough to find them."

So were did she say anything approaching the plan being canceled? Seems more like she's just telling Nynaeve anything and everything she can to ingratiate herself at that point.

If you tell yourself 2+2=5 long enough you can convince yourself you're correct in that too ... that doesn't mean your evidence is compelling
