The boys are ta'veren, so the laws of reality themselves are on their side. That's some fairly significant obstacle. As for the wondergirls, when has the Shadow ever tried to have them killed? Since the plot to have them sent to Seanchan (alive) in The Great Hunt, there's been nothing of significance attempted against them except for Moghedien's spur-of-the-moment attack on Nynaeve, and a few reactionary moves like the Black Ajah defending themselves when ambushed by Elayne.


I would say they have tried to kill them, in fact 3 attempts were made on Rand in the one book.

When they were actively trying to kill them they were at their weakest, Rahvin and Asmodean both tried to kill Rand as did Lanfear, in fire of heavens (i think been years since i read it)


The title of Lohikaarme's previous post was Are they? Why are Mat, Perrin and the Wondergirls still alive?

As Rand is neither of these, I do not see the relevance of your post.
