What are you talking about? I was agreeing with you, it's absurdly simple. Fanatic-Templar Send a noteboard - 13/07/2010 09:27:22 PM
I mean, I regularly pick up vagrants and provide them with plastic surgery and reveal my secrets to them and otherwise enable them to impersonate me so that every time the mailman comes I hastily escape through my secret underground train in case the entire house gets airbombed following said mailman's visit. It is so obvious that it baffles me that there are actually people out there who don't do this.

It's like my explanation that Basel Gill killed Asmodean because he's a Darkfriend male channeler who wanted to curry favour with Shai'tan. It's so obviously simple that it boggles the mind how people refuse to accept it.

See, we are never told that Basel Gill is a male channeler, but given the repercussions of channeling saidin, it is absurdly obvious that one wouldn't reveal it.
Likewise, nobody in their right mind would confess to being a Darkfriend, which is why we were never told that Basel Gill is one. It is simplicity itself.
And why would he kill Asmodean if not to curry favour with Shai'tan? Again, it is absurdly simple.
And obviously, when you are about to murder someone, it is ideal to have an alibi, which is why Basel Gill supposedly fled with Morgase. After all, how could he return to the Palace to kill Asmodean if he was off heading towards Amadicia? But nobody knows he can Travel! What could be simpler?

Really, I think we can both agree that most people on this site have no idea what simplicity is.
